Hours of Operation
Alamance CDC operates from 7:00am to 6:00pm Monday through Friday.

Ages of Eligibility
We offer care to children ages six weeks old through fifth grade (after school).  We have a full-time and part-time Pre-Kindergarten that operates during the school year.  We also offer an exciting Summer Camp program for school-aged children.

Meals and Snacks
Nutritious meals and pleasing daily snacks will be provided by the Center.  If parents wish to bring a substitute meal from home, it must be nutritionally appropriate.  The Center does not heat food.  Foods brought from home, especially in the younger classes, must not pose a choking threat.  Grapes are not allowed in the Baby, Toddler or Two-year-old classes.  **We are a nut-free facility.**

Holidays, Hours, Extended Vacations, Etc.
1.  The Center will observe the following holidays: New Year's Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and the day after, and two or three days at Christmas.  No credit will be given for these holidays.

2.  Our program is a service primarily for working parents and runs five days a week, Monday through Friday.  The CDC will continue to operate in inclement weather (snow days, etc.) unless conditions are deemed hazardous to the safety and well-being of the children, staff, or in extreme cases of heat, water or electricity loss.  A committee consisting of the Center Director, the President of the Board of Directors, and whenever possible, one other Board member, will be responsible for determining if conditions would be detrimental to the health and well-being of the children.  The Center will then be closed.  No credit will be given in these instances.

3.  Should your child be absent from the Center for an extended period of time, his/her place will be held only with full weekly payments. 

Basic Christian Teachings
1.  This Center is a ministry of Alamance Presbyterian Church.  Alamance CDC admits children of any race, color, nationality and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs and activities generally accorded or made available to children at the Center. 

2.  Basic doctrines of the Presbyterian Church will not be taught, although children attending the Center will be made aware of our one true God and religious truths of the Protestant beliefs. 

Snow Policy
We will give you the information concerning the operation of the CDC in the cases of inclement weather on TV channels 2, 8 & 12.  Please watch for public service announcements.  Opening and closing instructions will also be on the CDC's answering machine.  Please call 698-0122 for a recorded message.  If school is delayed due to bad weather, there will be NO BEFORE SCHOOL CARE.
